Pet Toxins

The ASPCA recently released this study regarding the most frequent toxin calls by state. Virginia seems to be trending with the Northeastern part of the country leading in chocolate toxicity while the Midwest seems to be primarily rodenticide cases.

Do you know what to do should your pet ingest something they shouldn’t? We always recommend contacting your veterinarian as well as the Pet Poison Helpline. Their number is 1800-213-6680. The Helpline is staffed with veterinary toxicologists ready to assist you and your pet.
Have questions on what veterinary professionals consider toxic? Feel free to call our office anytime at 540-343-4155 or email us at sohillsah@gmail.com and speak with one of our technicians!
